When Brian, Sean, and I were in Italy we got a message from Brian's roommates letting us know that Brian's beloved dog Jack was in some type of way and that they were going to take him to the vet.  Later that evening (4am in Bologna) we received a phone call letting us know that Jack wouldn't make it through the night. We stayed up all night mourning the loss of Jack.

After that we didn't hear from the roommates for a few days... But when they finally got back to us they had good news! Jack made it! He was a miracle dog! It turned out he had gone into diabetic shock, was now blind, and required insulin twice a day.

It has been a huge life adjustment but it gave us structure! 

Jackson the owner of Collective Coffee and our co-worker Jenna planned an event to help Brian raise the money for Jack's vet bills! It was an amazing night
